Three agencies selected for Phase III auctions

MUMBAI: After minutely examining the details, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has shortlisted three agencies for the auction.

In June 2014, it first announced four names for the auction 'e-procurement Technologies Limited', 'mjunction Services Limited', 'MSTC Limited' and 'C-1 India Private Limited'. The new list does not include 'MSTC Limited'.

The three agencies have been shortlisted on the basis of 1.9 clause of the Request for Proposal (RFP). The clause says that the agencies had to make presentations before the Evaluation Committee, which is constituted by the Government of India. The applicants will have to display their experience and capacity for holding the auction. Financial bid(s) shall be opened for only those bidders who are short listed after the evaluation of technical bids.

The agencies are evaluated on the following criteria: click here

The bidders were selected only if they scored over 70 per cent on the above mentioned table. The final selection was done on the ones who were technically qualified.

The auctions will be on the basis of the detailed guidelines which had been issued on 25 July 2011. After several months of delay, the Government had in late April invited Request for Proposal (RFP) for selection of agency for conducting e-auction of FM channels in FM Radio Phase-III.
