Shraddha Sharma wins her case against Culture Machine Media Private Limited

MUMBAI: YouTube sensation Shraddha Sharma has won the case against Culture Machine Media Private Limited, who managed her account (from September 2011 to August 2014). Sources revealed that as of now, the company has not handed over the channel 'Shraddharockin' to her.

The court battle started off, when her contract with Culture Machine was about to get over and she opted to manage her own YouTube channel.

The Bombay High Court directed Culture Machine Media Private Limited, Shraddha Sharma's ex-channel managers, to handover the administrative control of the her YouTube channel 'Shraddharockin' to her. In a suit filed by Culture Machine against Sharma, the district court had earlier held that the right of first refusal cannot be enforced in a personal services contract and accordingly, dismissed Culture Machine's application for restraining Sharma from entering into any negotiations or contract with any third party for management of her YouTube Channel.  Despite this, Culture Machine had not handed over the channel management to Sharma. It is also heard that the Sharma is mulling over approaching the Bombay High Court for the same and is hopeful that she will get her channel back.

The case was filed three months ago and the decision for the same came-out few days ago. Mumbai based KLaw, a law firm represented her.

Sharma is currently signed by Universal Music, who takes care of her endorsements, albums appearances and live performances.

After the case was filed, she launched her new channel 'Shraddha Supagirl' which she plans to merge with 'Shraddharockin' which has 160,011 subscribers on the channel.
