Javed Jaaferi brings his unique character impersonations for the first time ever on radio

MUMBAI:Big FM and the master of impressions Javed Jaaferi join hands to bring to the listeners T20 cricket like never before through their unique proposition- BIG Googly.

Television created a platform for Javed Jaaferi's brand of comedy and his irreverent sense of humour across many shows but with his association with 92.7 BIG FM, one will only see comedy going many notches higher. With the cricket mania already soaring in the country, the cricket fans will get to enjoy cricket commentary with a comedic twist.

Speaking on the new show, Big FM national business head Ashwin Padmanabhan stated, “BIG Googly is line with 92.7 BIG FMs endeavour to deliver to our listeners and advertisers the most innovative and relevant content with the best artists in the industry. For the show there couldn't have been a better host than Javed Jaaferi as he has always touched upon daily life situations and added humour so we take life with a pinch of salt. Cricket is a serious game and religion for many, his comic banter will help ease the stress and make the game even more enjoyable."

Javed Jaaferi, who has over the years donned many hats with flamboyance: actor, dancer, singer, choreographer, VJ, Emcee and ad filmmaker is all set to bedazzle ON-AIR with his new set of character impersonations – LOL Singh,  LBW, Brandnani, Wicketlingam and Bhrasht Acharya. He will be seen changing his styles and appearance for the listeners with his uproarious humour.

Reliance Broadcast Network national creative director Paritosh Painter stated, “The nation knows of Javed Jaaferi's style of humour and I have worked with him closely so I can say that humour comes naturally to him. When we were planning to zero on to the host of the show, we couldn't go past Javed's name. His impressions, accents and puns on television shows are iconic and through The BIG Googly we are taking his brand of comedy on radio so millions of cricket fans and listeners get to enjoy the game like they never did before."

Johnson & Johnson general manager marketing Ganesh Bangalore,  also shared his view on associating with Big FM's Big Googly, “Our mouth plays a T20 with germs every day and it needs the power of Listerine to make sure it beats them every time! Being Javed's brainchild, each character has been created specially, keeping in mind what listeners connect with most.  While LOL Singh is the new age media savvy Sardar and is known for his #LOLtweet, Lokesh Bhai Warodia aka LBW is a Gujarati stockbroker and a huge cricket buff who keeps coming up with stupid ideas to make IPL even more commercial, Wicketlingam from Tamilnadu is an ex-umpire, lover of all things old and the good old filter kaapi. He pines for the romance and finesse of test cricket and can't stand the bang-bang of IPL, Bhrasht Acharya the Bihari wheeler-dealer and fixer who keeps giving the losing team suggestions on how to win the next match by nefarious means like kidnapping the opposition's best batsman; putting gunpowder in the ball; getting the scorecard to run faster. The show also has a female character Brandnani, a rich Sindhi lady and Nani of all brands from Hong-Kong or Haang Kaang as Javed would put aptly say. She chooses her Man For The Match every time she comes on the show.
