MUMBAI: 92.7 BIG FM, one of India's largest radio networks announced the sixth season of the most coveted on-air singing talent hunt Benadryl Big Golden voice Season 6 over a month ago. The property is gradually drawing closer to finding the next singing sensation as the radio station hosted the city finale to select the top finalists who will compete nationally for the winning title. While renowned singer Sonu Nigam is the national judge who will also be mentoring the finalists, Dil Le Gayi Kudi Fame singer Jasbir Jassi was the judge for Delhi.  After observing and evaluating the performances by all the contestants, Shubham Bharti (21 yrs) was selected as the city winner.

The participants showcased sheer enthusiasm and energy in their performances while fighting for the title. Hosted by BIG MJ Jassi and MJ Simran, the event also witnessed judge motivating the contestants by sharing some tips and boosting their morale. The talent hunt invited participation across the country, urging people to come forward and showcase their talent. The participants were selected through multiple rounds, with the local station level auditions taking place first to select city-wide winners. The winners across cities will now compete for the title and the most deserved one will be crowned as the ultimate winner of the title.

Speaking about judging the contestants, Jasbir Jassi said, “I am happy to be a part of Benadryl Big Golden voice as it is a great platform for aspiring singers. Radio is a medium of sound, this makes it a unique show altogether where vocal skills are taken into consideration and not other aspects. In other mediums like television, sometimes apart from voice, other things like contestant’s personality, their overall performance take away the attention of the judges.”

Sharing his experience about being the city winner, Shubham Bharti said, “It was a learning experience for me to compete in a show alongside such talented singers and perform in front of Jasbir Jassi sir. He guided the contestants and shared some valuable tips which I will keep in mind going forward. I have been following Benadryl Big Golden Voice for a long time now and always dreamt of winning the honour. This is a dream come true for me but the journey will still continue on. I am working hard for the next round, as I will be performing in front of my idol Sonu Nigam Sir whom I admire and have grown up listening to his songs. I am really excited and nervous at the same time, but I am eagerly looking forward to meeting him.”

Shubham’s parents realized his potential when he participated in a singing competition in the first standard and ended up as the winner. Even though his parents are not into music that has never stopped them from supporting their sons. Shubham’s older brother, who is inclined towards music and plays the guitar, has been a driving force behind his achievement.
