MUMBAI: Club FM, Kerala’s number one radio station was recently conferred with a silver and bronze metal at Exchange For Media’s 8th edition of Golden Mikes Radio Advertising Awards 2018. The award ceremony was held at Hard Rock Café, Mumbai.

Club FM won silver for its campaign of Kuzhi Map (pot holes map) under best ad/ campaign on radio for a station in the south region category and it’s Vinodinde Prathikaram (Vinod’s revenge)  won bronze under the same category. The award was received by K Madhhu, Deputy General Manager, Media Solutions, Mathrubhumi and Sindhu Pillai, Sr Manager, Media Solutions, Mathrubhumi.

This year, the evaluation of entries was done by the Grand Jury, chaired by media veteran Ashish Bhasin, Chairman and CEO, South Asia Dentsu Aegis Network. The other jury members included Suparna Mitra, CMO, Titan (Watched and Accessories), Karthi Marshan, Sr EVP & Head, Group Marketing, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Anirudh Pandharkar, CMO, VIP industries Limited, Shubhodip Pal, Chief Marekting & Commercial Officer, Micromax and Azim Lalani - Business Head, Firstpost.

Speaking on the occasion, Mathrubhumi Printing & Publishing Co Ltd Jt. managing director M.V. Shreyams Kumar said, “This is a remarkable achievement for our company and the credit goes to all our listeners and radio team who have been creative and innovative in their approach and went in sync with the listeners. We hope to get more acclaimed recognitions in the years to come.”

The Golden Mikes awards acknowledge the contribution of advertising agencies, media agencies, clients, radio stations, production houses and others to the growth of medium in the country.

Club FM is a private FM radio station from Kerala, India, operated by Mathrubhumi that specialises in popular music throughout the day. Started in 2007, it was initially available in Thrissur and Kannur. Later, the radio station spread its roots in Trivandrum and Kochi.

Club FM 94.3 (Club FM 104.8 in Thrissur) is currently the most popular FM brand in Kerala and has bagged several awards for their quality programs.
