Radio City's Patiala station gets change in frequency

NEW DELHI: The FM station of Music Broadcast Ltd, Radio City in Patiala would henceforth be available on 91.1 frequency.

This follows the acceptance of its application to the Wireless Advisor of the Communication and Information Technology Ministry in this regard.

According to the copy of the letter sent by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry to the Mumbai office of Music Broadcast Ltd, the channel was hitherto available at 107.2 frequency in Patiala. The letter was issued on 8 February 2017.

The channel in Patiala had complained in a letter on 26 September last year about 'some interference' as the reason for seeking a change in frequency.

The channel had been allotted after it won a bid in the first stage e-auction of Phase III in 2015.

Accordingly, the I and B Ministry has made a change in its notification relating to stage one of Phase III.
