Vh1 to live telecast Global Citizen Festival

MUMBAI: If you have missed out on your opportunity to witness British rock act Coldplay's debut Indian performance live, then Viacom’s English music channel venture VH1 has got your back. The festival’s debut edition in India will be live telecasted on VH1 from the MMRDA Grounds - the venue for the event.

Reports suggested that Viacom would take the necessary call on using the establishment owned channels to telecast the festival featuring Coldplay, Jay Z, Demi Lovato, Farhan Akhtar, AR Rahman, Shankar Mahadevan, Aamir Khan and several other artistes. But the channel’s FB page suggests that the event will be entirely telecasted on 19 November.

The Global Citizen Festival is an attempt to eradicate issues haunting the citizens of the world and unite them against the causes through the effort. Fans can either contribute to the cause or volunteer for one of the projects under the festival.

The festival will be live telecasted on 19 November from MMRDA Grounds, Mumbai.
