MUMBAI: PRS for Music announced on 19 March that Jonathan Morrish will take on a PR role to consult for the company. Morrish was previously with PPL (Phonographic Performance Limited) as director of PR and communications for the last eight years.

Speaking on his new role, Morrish said, “I am delighted to be working for PRS for Music in an advisory PR role. I very much look forward to working with Robert as well as supporting Andy Hind and his team in his new position as Acting Head of Corporate Communications. I shall continue in my consultancy capacity at PPL as the two companies work more and more closely together.”

PRS for Music CEO, Robert Ashcroft said, “I am very pleased that Jonathan has agreed to join PRS where I know his experience and contacts will be very valuable. He will bring much knowledge and practical benefit to Andy and the whole PR team as well as across the whole company.”

Morrish began his long career in PR with CBS, and then later with Sony Music. During that time, he held a number of international and UK PR positions, and worked with several artists on a variety of corporate issues. He later joined The Outside Organisation as Head of Corporate PR for three years, and later in 2006 joined PPL.
