Warner/Chappell Music elevated Katie Vinten as VP A&R

MUMBAI: Warner Music Group's music publishing arm-Warner/Chappell Music (WCM), has promoted Katie Vinten to A&R vice president. She previously served as A&R director for the company. Vinten will continue to report to WCM North America president Jon Platt, and will remain in Los Angeles.

Vinten will continue to scout, sign and develop new and established songwriting talent for the company. Speaking on her new appointment she said, "I'm in pursuit of excellence on behalf of our songwriters and my colleagues; we are a team. I love the process of taking talented songwriters to the next level by providing a level of service and commitment they simply will not find elsewhere.”

She added, "Fortunately, I've worked under the mentorship of, unquestionably, the best music publishing executive in the business, as well as a crew of exceptionally talented songwriters. Warner/Chappell is an incredible environment where we aim to cultivate a songwriter's career at every level, and I'm thrilled to be a part of it.”

Platt said, "I have had the privilege of working alongside Katie for many years, dating back to our days at EMI. She's an exceptional publisher who time and again brings out the best in our songwriters. Katie is a star who has only just begun to show us the depth of her talents, and I'm excited to see what's to come."
