MUMBAI: Tips Industries' independent director Vijay Agarwal, has formally resigned from the directorship of the company.
The resignation came into effect from 14 August, 2015. Agarwal is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has expertise in the field of direct tax and currently practicing in Agarwal Vijay & Associates.
He has an experience of three decades in cross-border acquisitions and transactions, advising in foreign service collaboration arrangements, providing statutory, management and tax audit services and providing tax advisory services. Currently, he serves as H & R Johnson (India) Limited CEO and MD.
Besides Agarwal, the company has two other independent directors namely Radhika Pereira and Amitabh Mundhra, serving as the independent directors of Tips Industries Ltd.
During the 19th AGM of the company, Tips Industries re-appointed Kumar Taurani as chairman and MD for three years from 1 June 2015 to 31 May 2018, who retires by rotation and, being eligible, offers himself for re-appointment.
During the meeting, Ramesh Taurani was also re-appointed as MD of the company for period of three years.
