This World Music Day groove to global music with Gaana

MUMBAI: This World Music Day, India's favorite music streaming app, Gaana is offering users the opportunity to embark on a musical world tour from the comfort of their homes. The platform will offer users the opportunity to browse and listen to trending music from more than 50 countries on 21 June 2019.

Available across desktop and mobile web, users can simply tap on the ‘Music Day’ option on the home-screen and select any country within the interactive map to enjoy popular native music from the region. This will also open up rich media cards featuring trivia about the origin of indigenous music in each of these places, popular genres and artists.

Gaana CEO Prashan Agarwal said, “Millennials seek diverse experiences from across the world. As the country’s largest music app, we see millions of users listening to music in Spanish, Latin, Arabic french and other Asian languages. This World Music Day, we wanted to present music not as a mere playlist but as an experience. Our users can enjoy music from more than 50 countries around the globe, i.e. they can now evoke the music from a French Riviera cafe as they sip coffee in the balcony, or breathe life into their house parties from the trendiest hits from Ibiza. We invite every music lover in the country to embark on this musical world tour with us and promise the experience of a lifetime.”
