Radio Festival Showcase confirms PRS for Music and PPL UK as headline sponsors

MUMBAI: The Radio Academy has announced that PRS for Music and PPL UK are the headline sponsors for Radio Festival Showcase, in a unique first for the event.

Radio Festival Showcase takes place on 29 September, 2015 at the British Library in London.

Radio Festival Showcase is the biggest forum for discussion and debate in the industry. The event is packed with exclusive, compelling sessions from an eclectic mix of some of the greatest names in radio and audio, showcasing the diversity of opportunities in the business and giving a voice to the industry in its entirety.

The Radio Academy MD Roger Cutsforth said, “I am delighted that PRS for Music and PPL have come on board as Headline Partners for Radio Festival Showcase 2015. The Radio Academy reaches out to the whole of the UK Radio and Audio sector and as such, is a great fit for both PRS for Music and PPL. Both organisations have been long term supporters of The Radio Academy and Radio Festival Showcase provides a great platform from which to build on hopefully more strategic collaborations in the future.”

PRS for Music commercial director Paul Clements commented, "PRS for Music is delighted to be a Headline Partner of The Radio Academy’s ‘Radio Festival Showcase’, celebrating and championing innovation in the radio and audio sector. As a membership organisation that represents the rights of over 111,000 songwriters, composers and publishers, we are proud to support and contribute to the exciting developments, insights and successes within the music industry, especially in music broadcast.”

PPL chief licensing officer Jez Bell added, “PPL has proudly supported the Radio Academy for many years and so it is with great pleasure that we are able to continue this involvement with the new format Radio Festival this year. We look forward to celebrating the pioneers of audio and radio innovation and to an impressive programme of inspirational speakers at this very special event.”
