AEG Live acquires Baltimore's Rams Head Live!

MUMBAI: Producers and promoters of live entertainment and operators of live music venues, AEG Live, expanded in the live music business by its latest acquisition. The company has acquired Baltimore’s Rams Head Live!, which is a live music venue in the country.

Through this move, the company has further strengthened its business operations in the Mid-Atlantic region. Apart from Rams Head Live!, AEG Live recently added names like The National Theater in Richmond, Virginia and The NorVa Theatre in Norfolk, Virginia.

Commenting on the company's expansion, AEG Live COO Shawn Trell said, “Acquiring Rams Head Live! is a perfect fit for our AEG Live portfolio of venues and serves to strengthen our presence in the Mid-Atlantic region as we continue to expand our footprint.”

Baltimore, LLC Rams Head managing partner Bill Muehlhauser added, “After nearly a year of discussions with AEG, we are pleased to announce that the future of the Rams Head Live! is in great hands.”

He also added that Rams Head is excited that AEG will continue their goal of putting Baltimore on the music map. Addressing the team, Muehlhauser said, “While it is bittersweet to say goodbye to a facility we built from the ground up, we are excited for our team members who will begin their next chapter as AEG employees.”

Rams Head group president Erin McNaboe said, “As we move on to pursue other growth opportunities, we are thankful to our dedicated staff, our promotional partners, the loyal music fans, and the tremendous artists who have graced the stage. It has been an honour to serve the Baltimore market and the music industry at Rams Head Live!.”

The venue with a seating capacity 1,500 seats, has sold nearly one lakh tickets in 2014. For over ten years, it has hosted top musical acts including the Beastie Boys, Jay-Z, John Legend, Pat Benatar, Avett Brothers, Florida Georgia Line, Ed Sheeran and The Black Keys, who attracted millions of music lovers.
