Eros Music scores big at Royal Stag Mirchi Music Awards Punjab & Mirchi Top 20

MUMBAI: Eros Music swept all the biggies at the Royal Stag Mirchi Music Punjab Awards 2015 which were held in Amritsar on 11th December. Winning six out of the eight nominations for their Punjabi soundtrack ‘Shareek’ was awarded the Best Film Album of the year.

Eros Music, the music label arm of Eros International bagged six coveted awards namely Best Film Album of the Year, Best Composer, Best Female Vocalist, Best Film Song of the Year, Best Lyricist and Best Song of the Year Mirchi Listener’s Choice. Eros ‘Shareek’ featuring Jimmy Sheirgill & Mahi Gill was adjudged as the Best Film Album of the Year while Jaidev Kumar bagged the Best Composer for the movie. ‘Mainu Ishq Laga’ from ‘Shareek’ won the Best Film Song of the Year and Babu Singh Mann won the Film Lyricist of the Year. ‘Dil Kafiraa’ from ‘Shareek’ was the unanimous Mirchi Listener’s Choice for the Best Song of the Year.

The Nooran sisters were adjudged the Best Female Vocalist of the year for ‘Jindey Meriye’ from ‘Qissa Panjab’.

It was Eros Music’ once again all the way at the recently held Mirchi Music Top 20 with ‘Badlapur’ and ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ making their way in to the chartbuster list. Badlapur’s ‘Jeena Jeena’ found a place at No. 2, ‘Banno Tera Swagger’ from ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ at No. 9 and ‘Jee Karda’ from ‘Badlapur’ at No. 16.
