Armin van Buuren's Armada Music label to launch new label, re-launch two sub labels

MUMBAI: Armada Music, which is co-founded by one of EDM's most popular names- Armin van Buuren, has announced that it will launch a brand new label called Armada Deep. The Dutch record label, which focuses majorly on electronic dance music, will also be re-launching two of its sub labels- Armada Trice and Armada Captivating.

The label company stated that some of the former sub labels will remain, while others will be discontinued. Sub-label- Captivating Sounds will become Armada Captivating, while TRICE Records will become Armada Trice. Releases from its previous M Recordings, Black Book Audio and Electronic Elements will now fall under the new sub-label Armada Deep.

Speaking about the changes, Armada Music CEO, co-founder and head of A&R, Maykel Piron said, "I am super proud of the Armada brand. Due to the digital age we currently live in, it makes sense to operate with fewer imprints and communicate Armada in a broader way. Obviously, we will also remain focused on artist labels like, among others, Armind and ASOT, Future Sound of Egypt, Mainstage, and Aropa."

Each of the three different labels will be representing the different core concepts that have been and still are part of Armada Music. The labels are currently gearing up with a fresh batch of releases, which will be available from 1 September 2014. The upcoming releases include Compact Grey's 'S.A.Y.' from Armada Deep, Arston featuring Jake Reese's 'Circle Track' from Armada Trice and David Gravell's 'The Last of Us' through Armada Captivating.
