Dutch rock star Anouk signs with BMG Talpa Music

MUMBAI: Netherlands biggest rock star and songwriter Anouk has signed an exclusive songwriter agreement with BMG Talpa Music which will see the creation of a joint venture publishing company, Goldilox Publishing.

Goldilox will represent shares of the singer-songwriter’s entire music publishing catalogue across her eight studio albums, including future works. Her new studio album Paradise and Back Again is expected later this year.

From her breakthrough hit ‘Nobody’s Wife’ in 1997, Anouk has been a staple of the Netherlands charts with seven studio albums, one compilation and two live albums all reaching Number One. Her latest live set Live at Symphonica in Rosso reached Number One in March 2014.

The multi-award-winning artist is famed for her collaborations, most recently with fellow BMG Talpa Music writers Afrojack with whom she scored the Top Five hit ‘You and I’ and Nicky Romero, with whom she has recorded ‘Feet On The Ground’.

BMG Talpa Music Chairman Tony Berk said, "After nearly 18 years, Anouk is still an inspiration with a musical range and depth which has barely been tapped so far. Her boldness and initiative – evidenced by her brilliant contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013 – and BMG’s international strength will be a powerful combination."

BMG Talpa Music Managing Director Frank Bruens said, "We are looking forward to a very fruitful relationship with Anouk, one of the Netherlands’ most accomplished artists."
