NCPA chairman to visit Helsinki for IAMAÆs annual conference from 23û 25 April

MUMBAI: The International Artist Managers Association (IAMA), the only worldwide association for classical music artist management, will be holding their annual conference in Helsinki, Finland, from 23rd to 25th April, 2015. These conferences, established in 1991, are today recognised as a premiere forum in the classical music world. Delegates from over two dozen countries attend, representing artist management companies, presenters, orchestras, opera companies, arts festivals, and more.

This year, we are honoured that our Chairman, Mr. Khushroo N Suntook, has been invited to give the keynote address, focusing on the conference theme of ‘In from the Margins’. It is evident that India is seen as a vital future destination for the international performing arts, and we are proud that the NCPA is at the forefront. A team from the NCPA will be attending the conference, where, apart from presenting information about the NCPA and the Symphony Orchestra of India, we hope that our visit to Helsinki will help us build stronger relationships with presenters and managers from around the globe. This will not only lead several more stellar artists to our stages in Mumbai and India in the coming years, but also open up avenues for our fine Indian performers to share their art with a global audience.
