Sony LIV in talks to monetise #LoveBytes' 'Yunhi Besabab'

MUMBAI: Sony LIV, Multi Screen Media’s (MSM) premium digital video entertainment brand, recently launched an original soundtrack (OST) titled ‘Yunhi Besabab’ with a music video for its web show #LoveBytes. While the attempt was to give the show a slight push, Sony LIV now plans take it a step future by monetising the track.

“We are in discussions with third party platforms to monetise the track, which currently is available exclusively only on Sony LIV,” said Sony LIV EVP and head –digital business Uday Sodhi. Apart from this, Sony LIV has also created two caller tunes from the track, which are already available through selective operators across India.

Furthermore, talking about the initiative, Sodi said, “We understand that the user behaviour is changing with millennia’s playing a crucial role in consumption of various content on the go, through devices. With such innovative initiatives, Sony LIV continues to march ahead with its promise of a digital-first approach by offering fresh, unique and original content for the digital destination’s urban and tech-savvy audience. This is the first time ever that an original sound track has been rolled out exclusively for a digital web series.”

‘Yunhi Besabab’ has been sung by Arnab Dutta and Sarodee Borah. It has been composed and directed by Biplab Dutta while Raghavendra Verma and S. Shankar have penned the lyrics.

#LoveBytes is a show centered on an urban Indian romance. Directed by Vishal Mull, #LoveBytes stars well-known faces, Kushal Punjabi and Sukhmani Sadana. Each episode of the show plays out the trials and tribulations in the relationship of lead characters ‘Ananya’ and ‘Abhishek’.
