MUMBAI: After working in the music business for over ten years, Adarsh Gupta has shifted his attention to fitness and health , which is also his forte. The knowledge he has acquired over years has been put into his new lifestyle and health initiative ‘Brilliant Living TV’, which is available exclusively on DTH service- Tata Sky, through a fitness-based interactive service - 'Actve Fitness’

Gupta, MD and founder of ‘Brilliant Living TV’, revealed that he is working towards taking the service to various OTTs (Over-The-Top) and Telecom services. “Brilliant Living TV will maintain its exclusivity on DTH service with Tata Sky. However, with other services like OTT and Telecom, we plan to work with various partners,” he said. Within three months, the newly launched service will be available across OTT and Telecom services, affirmed Gupta.

Talking about his fondness for health initiatives, Gupta recalled his contribution to his previous companies like Saregama and Times Music, for whom he set-up Saregama - Temple Wellness, and Times Wellness. “I am no stranger to health and fitness as I have previously worked on such projects. Health and fitness has always interested me and through this I have taken my interest to new a level,” added the health-conscious Gupta.

Commenting on his entrepreneurial journey, he explained, “The journey was tedious, but there is no gain without pain. The initiative has become phenomenally huge, which is what matters in the end.”

The service, which includes yoga sessions, self-defence and celebrity fitness tips, will also have an hour of mediation- the only music segment offered by the service. For this particular segment, Brilliant Living TV has roped in musician Gourav Dasgupta to create 60-hours of content. “We have not tied-up with any label for the content. The whole content creation process is in-house,” Gupta revealed. This will no doubt, save the company any music royalty complications.

The former label business head also added that he will be open to adding more music segments, if the need arises.

The service was unveiled by Salman Khan, last week, and soon it will unveil a few promo videos, along with extensive promotional activity on Tata Sky. Brilliant Living TV has also roped in Shaan to render his vocals for the promo track. “Shaan is an old friend and it is lovely to have him on board for the initiative,” explained Gupta.

The channel has three other directors apart from Gupta, of which actor Suniel Shetty is one. Shetty and many other celebrities will be part of the service soon.

The service is priced at Rs 59 per month for Tata Sky subscribers.
