MUMBAI: Sir Paul McCartney will front a Nirvana reunion gig - replacing late singer Kurt Cobain. They will perform a gig in aid of victims of Hurricane Sandy in New York on 12 December.
The sensational gig will see the surviving members- drummer Dave Grohl and bassist Krist Novoselic of the band together for the first time in 20 years.

NEW DELHI: A sum of just over Rs 135.53 million is owed by different departments or ministries to Prasar Bharati, and Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari highlighted that ‘recovery of outstanding dues is being pursued vigorously’.
In a reply in Parliament, Tewari said that the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity of his own Ministry owes an amount of just over Rs 98.43 million to the pubcaster.
The Health and Family Welfare Ministry owes around Rs 7.7 million, while Rural Development Ministry owes around Rs 17.7 million.

MUMBAI: Legendary sitar maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar passed away on Tuesday at the age of 92 years in San Diego in United States.
Pandit Shankar was admitted to the Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, San Diego last Thursday after he complained of breathing difficulties. He breathed his last at 4.30 pm Pacific Time Tuesday.

NEW DELHI: The Government earned around Rs 11.8 billion as revenue from All India Radio and private FM channels in the years April 2009 - October 2012.
While the revenue in 2009-10 was around Rs 3 billion, it rose to just over 3.48 billion in 2010-11 and then to around Rs 3.57 billion during 2011-12.
The revenue in the current financial year till October has been just over Rs 1.74 billion.
