MUMBAI: The diminutive heartthrob ‘Davy Jones’, who rocketed to the top of the 1960s music charts with the catchy refrains of The Monkees, passed away due to cardiac arrest on Wednesday.
Early in the morning, Jones complained of breathing troubles and was taken to Martin Memorial South Hospital in Stuart, Florida where he was pronounced dead. The news was confirmed by the singer’s longtime publicist, Deborah Robicheau.
