MUMBAI: Red FM has appointed Rajat Uppal as general manager - marketing.
He will report to Red FM's senior VP project and programming Nisha Narayanan. In his new role, Uppal will be responsible for strengthening the brand ‘Red’ and drive marketing initiatives for the station.

MUMBAI: After enthralling audiences across the globe, musical trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have announced a four-city tour in India commencing from 18 March.
The tour will kick-start in Bangalore followed by Kolkata (20 March), Mumbai (25 March) and New Delhi (1 April).
Organised by Seagram’s 100 Pipers Pure Music, the concerts will feature Shankar Mahadevan on vocals, Ehsaan on acoustic guitar and Loy on a grand piano as they perform their chartbusters.

MUMBAI: After four years, Punjabi-folk singer Rabbi Shergill is back on music front with his third studio album titled `3.’ The album signifying the singer’s third offering will be launched on 16 March at Hard Rock café in New Delhi.

MUMBAI: Renowned for his genre-defying collaborations, tabla virtuoso Zakir Hussain and Masters of Percussion have announced their North American tour commencing from 16 March in Hampton.
The maestro will perform concerts at Washington DC, Los Angeles, Mexico, Vancouver and Philadelphia among others. The tour will culminate on 14 April in Chicago.

NEW DELHI: Prasar Bharati has earned revenue of Rs 10.38 billion for the first nine months of this fiscal.
The commercial revenue by Doordarshan and All India Radio during the nine-month period under review was Rs 7.48 billion and Rs 2.45 billion respectively while Rs 444 million came from ‘other resources’.
For the fiscal ended March 2011, net revenue stood at Rs 12.71 billion (subject to reconciliation), of which Rs 9.44 billion came from DD and Rs 2.76 billion came from AIR as net commercial revenue. A total of Rs 505.8 million came from other resources.
