MUMBAI: To commemorate and honour ace artistes of the country, Fever 104 FM has launched an initiative �Radio Concert'.
The three hour concert will relive the legendary music of evergreen artistes and through the initiative fans will get an opportunity to sing their favourite artiste song and the best from these will be invited by Fever to record and then be played on-air during the radio concert.

MUMBAI: The National Music Publishers Association (NMPA) had filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against YouTube in 2007, and has now finally reached a settlement with video-sharing site on Wednesday 17 August.
According to the settlement, NMPA, its subsidiary Harry Fox Agency (HFA) and music publishers affiliated with HFA will be able to license their musical compositions to YouTube community and will receive royalties from YouTube for the musical works in videos posted on the site. The complete terms of the agreement is not disclosed.

MUMBAI: Web giant Google has launched new feature �Magnifier blog' in its music storage service �Music Beta'.
Magnifier hosted on blogspot platform allows 'Music Beta' users to search and store latest music in their libraries which can be replayed on desktop and mobile devices. The new initiative kicked off by providing two tracks by Grammy-nominated indie-rock band 'My Morning Jacket' to its users. It also features interviews and videos of live performances of artistes.

MUMBAI: Saregama India has posted a sixfold jump in its net profit for the three-month period ended 30 June.
The company has posted a net profit of Rs 25.5 million for the first quarter of the fiscal compared to Rs 4.2 million a year ago.
The company has reported net sales of Rs 154.9 million for the quarter, up from Rs 133.3 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, while its income from licence fees was at Rs 164 million, up from Rs 129.8 million a year ago.
