MUMBAI: DAB+ digital Radio service has officially launched in Australia and Perth is the first city to get digital radio with the launch of nine stations today.
The nine commercial radio stations that went online include Mix 94.5, 92.9, Nova 93.7, 6PR, 96 fm, 6ix, Radar, Pink Radio and Novanation.
It is said to be a historic day for radio broadcasting with the first permanent digital radio services commencing in Australia.

MUMBAI: Sony Music Entertainment has launched operations in Dubai. Dubbed Sony Music Entertainment Middle East, the Dubai office has been established to cover the regional market, says Sony Music Entertainment Asia president Daniel DiCicco.
The Middle East operations will promote content by signed international artistes from the United States, India and the Philippines. The label also plans signing regional artistes and distributing their music around the world.

The US says there are increasing concerns about Canada's need for copyright reforms, and better policing of its borders to seize pirated goods. Algeria, Argentina, Chile, Indonesia, Israel, Pakistan, Thailand and Venezuela are the other countries that figure on the list.
