MUMBAI: Radio One has decided to stop playing BBC's entertainment capsules, after the BBC World Service's decision in July to monetize this pre-popularized entertainment content in the Indian metro markets.
The first market where they were able to do this is in Chennai where this content is supplied to Hello FM.

MUMBAI: All India Radio would be carrying forward its association with Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) by live broadcasting the 2010 Commonwealth games to be held in Delhi.
AIR is contemplating to have seven and half hours of live broadcast during the games. In a recent meeting with DRM Chairperson Ruxandra Obreja and Project Director Vineeta Dwivedi earlier this month, Information and Broadcast minister Ambika Soni had reportedly stressed on the need for affordable DRM receivers for quick and efficient take-up of the technology.

MUMBAI: Unless the BBC's Audio and Music division makes a continued progress in three areas, it may have missed its chance to claim a primary place in the lives of people born into a digital world. The three things that will make the difference are: building a creative contribution; leading digital innovation and attracting the best people.
These remarks were made by BBC Audio and music director Tim Davie during the Manchester Media Festival. Says Davie "While the BBC has made significant progress across these areas over the last year, there is much more work to do."
