MUMBAI: A Parks Associates survey has found that a majority of US and Canadian citizens use the PC and Television to listen to music.
Estimates say two-thirds of the broadband households surveyed regularly use the PC to play music while at home, and one-third use a television to listen to music.

MUMBAI: Bhaskar Group's My FM is set to counsel its listeners about the virtues of small family and the ill effects of population explosion on the 'World Population Day' on 11 July.

MUMBAI: The Disney Music Group has teamed up with Universal Music to distribute and market its products in Asia, excluding Japan.
The agreement will be effective in India from October 2008. But in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand it will be effective immediately.

MUMBAI: Interntaional broadcaster The Voice of America plans to eliminate seven radio language services this year, including radio broadcasts in Hindi, Ukrainian, Serbian, Macedonian, Bosnian and Georgian.
According to Internet resource ProPublica, the cuts are an indirect fallout of the hundreds of millions of dollars absorbed by Alhurra, the US government-funded Arabic television news channel.
VOA employees have long been unhappy with the direction of the agency, which currently broadcasts in 45 languages, says ProPublica.
