MUMBAI: The build-up to the fourth Jack Daniel's Annual Rock Awards for 2008 continues with the second Jack Daniel's - Rolling Stone TRIBUTE with VH1 concert, to be held on 5 December, 2008 at Elevate in New Delhi, to honour the legendary Jim Morrison. The concert, featuring some of the capital's finest musicians, will celebrate the iconic singer's birthday which falls on 8 December. Singer, DJ and actor Luke Kenny, a die hard Morrison fan, will host the event and also perform a few tracks. The menu for the evening: JD, music and cake. ...

Avial band members MUMBAI: Kerala based Malayali rock band Avial is positioned at number 13 on US based website WorldSings.com, a music and social networking community which is organising a music competition for solo singers or bands across the globe. The bands are being shortlisted on the basis of voting by registered members for their favourite songs. The top 20 bands will compete in the Worldsings Concert to be held in Las Vegas and the winner stands a chance to grab $1,000,000 as prize money. ...

Vishal Dadlani MUMBAI: Music composer Vishal Dadlani will soon file a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) against television news channels that showed the movements of the armed forces live to the terrorists on national television for three days during the attacks.
