Tips Q2 net down 51% to Rs 22 mn

MUMBAI: Tips Industries has seen a 50.92 per cent drop in its net profit for the three-month period ended 30 September, pulled down by its movie production and distribution business. Tips net revenue for the quarter under review was at Rs 22.32 million, down from Rs 45.47 million in the year-ago period. Tips' income from operations surged 22.59 per cent during the quarter to Rs 115.68 million, as against Rs 94.37 million. Expenses, however, rose 145.97 per cent to Rs 80.42 million, mainly on account of film distribution and production costs. ...
