MUMBAI: One of the country's most revered singers Asha Bhosle now claims the title for being the Most Recorded Artist. The recognition comes from World Records Academy - the world's largest certifying organization for having sung whopping 13,000 songs across genres till now.
A similar title for recording the highest number of songs was held by her elder sister and well-known acclaimed singer Lata Mangeshkar between 1974 to 1991 with the Guinness World Records.

MUMBAI: Siliguri based Radio High is back on air after staying off the airwaves for over five months.
Radio High, a broadcasting venture of Syntech Informatics, resumed operations on 25 August after shifting its studio to a different location and having sorted its differences with licensing bodies like the PPL and IPRS. Radio High managing director Milon Chakrabarty says the hiatus helped the station to refurbish itself with a new studio set up for both video and audio recordings in a location which helps it to reach a wider audience.

MUMBAI: Radio City 91.1 FM will kick start the third season of their music property- Musical-e-Azam from September 7 to 18, 2009. The slot will be aired every weekday on prime time morning show – Kasa Kai Mumbai.
Musical-e-Azam which has showcased eminent Indian singers will include singing sensations of the current generation. The line-up of musicians include Mohit Chauhan, Shreya Ghosal, KK, Pritam, Shaan, Javed Ali, Rekha Bharadwaj, Raghav Sachar, Sajid Wajid to name a few.

MUMBAI: Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash, sons of sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, had been missing from the classical music scenario for a while. The reason – the duo were to debut in a J P Dutta Hindi film alongside models Tupur and Tapur Chatterjee.
Ironically, the film has been put on hold for financial reasons, and the duo is back to performing, and resuming their work on an album and a book on classical musicians
