MUMBAI: The Vice President of India Shri M. Hamid Ansari has deeply condoled the sad demise of renowned classical singer Smt. Gangubai Hangal. In his condolence message, he said that Smt. Gangubai Hangal was a brilliant classical singer and contributed immensely to the shaping of Indian classical music. Her contributions to Indian classical music have won her many awards and will ever remain a shining example to the younger generations. In her death, the country has lost an eminent artist.
