MUMBAI: Singer Udit Narayan, whose name had been nominated for the civilian honour Padmashri this year may find himself out of the list.
The official version now is that since Narayan was born in southern Nepal, he is ineligible for the honour bestowed by the Union Government of India on exemplary citizens.
