MUMBAI: Volvo will become the first automaker to offer HD Radio technology as standard equipment in all but one of its 2009 models, it was announced today. The running change becomes effective next month on the 2009 Volvo model line up.* HD Radio technology is the most significant advancement in radio broadcasting since the introduction of FM stereo. Across the United States, more than 1800 AM and FM stations are broadcasting using HD Radio technology and more than 900 are offering subscription-free HD2 multicast channels on the FM dial.

MUMBAI: Zune, Microsoft Corp.'s digital music and entertainment service, today announced landmark agreements with major and independent music labels to bring significant new value to the subscription music model. The Zune Pass subscription service currently gives consumers on-demand access to millions of tracks for $14.99 per month. Starting today subscribers will also get to select 10 tracks per month to keep and add them to their permanent collection (an estimated $10 value).

MUMBAI: Chinese Democracy, the first new Guns N' Roses album since 1991, will make its debut exclusively on MySpace Music on Thursday, where fans can listen to it for free. Among the countries where it has been made available on MySpace is India, say reports.

MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi has used the parameter it resisted with much force till recently to stake claim to the top spot in Delhi.
Quoting RAM data, the station says that Radio Mirchi's lead over the nearest competition in the private FM sector continues by 150 per cent with an all time TARP of 2.5. It has also garnered 29 per cent of the total market shares in TARP, says the station.
