MUMBAI: The music of UTV Motion Pictures and Ashutosh Gowariker's much awaited epic romance �Jodhaa Akbar' starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be launched on 9 January 2008.
This marks the entry of media major UTV as an independent music label. The film is slated for a worldwide release on 15 February 2008. The soundtrack of the film has been composed by music maestro A R Rahman and the lyrics have been written by Javed Akhtar.

MUMBAI: Sun TV Network's SFM has launched in Varanasi through its subsidiary South Asia FM. With this, Sun's total number of stations has gone up to 18 across the country.
The company's FM station is already operational in places that include Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, Visakhapatnam, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Tirupati, Madurai, Tuticorin, Lucknow, Bhopal,Pondicherry, Kozhikode (Calicut), Indore and Vijayawada.

MUMBAI: Warner Music Group (WMG) has joined forces with Internet store Amazon.com for making its music available for download in MP3 format without digital rights management (DRM) copy protection from AmazonMP3.
Warner has so far been a strong believer in DRM technology, which is a kind of digital encryption that vendors place on music files to prevent illegal copying, distribution and piracy. The continuing dominance of Apple's iTunes store may have forced Warner to have a rethink.
