In 2008, NER made a humble beginning with participation by 24 bands hailing from various N.E. regions and Bengal. MUMBAI: Sony Music has acquired the music rights of Dharma Productions' two upcoming projects- a yet untitled film directed by Rensil D'Silva and the Ayaan Mukherjee directed Wake up Sid.
