NEW DELHI: Even as the auction for Phase II of FM Radio had yielded huge dividends to the national exchequer, Phase III is also expected to have greater transparency with the government having decided on an e-auction format of the kind followed in the 3G auctions last year. The Group of Ministers on FM radio Phase-III met on Wednesday and finalized and approved the e-auction model. The GoM is also understood to have extended the license period for the radio stations to 15 years from the existing 10 years.

MUMBAI: The Brand Trust Report, India Study, 2011, has announced that Nokia, the global mobile handsets leader, has also topped its report of India's Most Trusted Brands, followed by the philanthropic Tata at the second and the Japanese electronics giant, Sony, at the third spot. MUMBAI: Multi-talented songwriter Jimmy Webb has been elected Chairman of the Board of the Songwriters Hall of Fame by its Board of Directors.
Webb's election follows Hal David's decision last month to step down from the SHOF Chairmanship after more than a decade of distinguished service; he will continue as an active Board Member and Chairman Emeritus. Previous SHOF leaders, in addition to David, included SHOF co-founder Johnny Mercer and Sammy Cahn.
